About Us

Welcome to Moles.org!

Welcome! Whether you’re worried about a skin mole that’s changed color, frustrated by mole tunnels destroying your pristine lawn, or scratching your head over chemistry homework, you’ve come to the right place.

Moles.org is a family-run website dedicated to all things mole-related. Yes, we know it sounds unusual, but hear us out—the word “mole” means very different things to different people, and we cover them all:

🔬 Chemistry & Math Moles

Struggling with stoichiometry? Need to convert moles to mass or liters to moles? We break down complex chemistry and math concepts into easy-to-understand guides, complete with examples and calculation tips.

🐾 Yard Moles (The Furry Kind)

Those destructive little diggers turning your lawn into a lunar landscape? We’ve been there. Our family has battled serious mole problems for years, and we share our hard-won knowledge, tested solutions, product reviews, and yes—even our hilarious failures.

🩺 Skin Moles & Health

From understanding what’s normal to knowing when to see a dermatologist, we provide clear, research-backed information about skin moles, their removal, and important health considerations.

Our Mission

We’re passionate about researching and writing helpful, accurate, and sometimes entertaining content about all types of moles. Our goal is simple: when you search for anything mole-related, we want to provide the answer you need.

Explore our blog posts, browse by category, and feel free to reach out with questions. We’re here to help—whether your mole problem involves Avogadro’s number, animal control, or a dermatology appointment!

Our History: From Project Underground to Moles.org

Moles.org has an interesting history. This domain was previously home to Project Underground, an organization dedicated to supporting communities resisting mining and oil exploitation. Project Underground worked at the intersection of environmental, human rights, and indigenous movements, providing informational, technical, and legal support to communities threatened by extractive resource industries around the world.

From the Niger Delta to New Guinea, from Colombia to Indonesia, Project Underground amplified the voices of those fighting against corporate environmental and human rights abuses. The organization documented the real costs of resource extraction—both to ecosystems and to indigenous peoples—and asked hard questions about sustainable development and environmental justice.

While our current focus has shifted entirely to the various meanings of “moles” (from chemistry to critters to skin health), we honor the important work that Project Underground accomplished in advocating for communities and the environment. The commitment to thorough research, clear communication, and helping people solve real problems remains part of this domain’s legacy.

Today, Moles.org serves a completely different purpose, but we acknowledge and respect the significant advocacy work that once lived here.
